Monte GT is a plug-and-play performance chip and ECU tuning device designed to improve engine performance and fuel efficiency. It connects directly to your vehicle’s OBD-II port and works as an advanced car tuner, allowing you to switch driving modes using your smartphone.
Yes. Monte GT is a safe, non-invasive ECU tuning solution. It does not overwrite factory ECU software or make permanent changes. All adjustments stay within the vehicle’s built-in safety limits.
No. Monte GT does not permanently modify your ECU. When the device is removed, the vehicle gradually returns to factory behavior through normal ECU adaptation.
Monte GT improves engine output by optimizing factory parameters:
-
Naturally aspirated engines: approximately 10–15%
-
Turbocharged engines: approximately 10–25%
Fuel saver modes can also improve fuel economy by up to 5%, depending on driving habits and conditions.
Monte GT requires an ECU learning period. While many drivers feel changes quickly, full ECU adaptation typically takes about 120 miles (200 km) of normal driving. This does not need to be completed in a single trip — the miles can be accumulated over multiple short or long drives, as the ECU adjusts fuel trims, ignition strategy, and torque modeling over multiple drive cycles.
Monte GT includes multiple driving modes such as Performance, Sport, Economy, and Stock. Available modes may vary depending on the vehicle.
The Monte GT app lets you apply vehicle-specific tuning profiles, switch driving modes, and manage updates via Bluetooth.
No. Once a mode is selected, the app can be closed. The selected mode remains active as long as the device stays connected.
Yes. The device must remain plugged into the OBD-II port to maintain the tuning effect.
Installation takes just a few minutes. Plug the device into the OBD-II port and pair it with the app.
Yes. Monte GT is not locked to a single vehicle and can be reused on other compatible cars or trucks.
To transfer Monte GT to a new vehicle, unplug the device from the current vehicle and connect it to the new one. Use the Monte GT app to select the new vehicle profile and allow the ECU to complete its normal adaptation process.
The new vehicle must be available in our database. If it does not appear, contact our support team and we can add or confirm compatibility before use.
Monte GT does not overwrite ECU software or make permanent changes. Because it is removable and operates externally, it can be unplugged at any time and does not leave any permanent traces of having been used.
Monte GT operates within OEM standards and factory safety parameters. Warranty decisions are ultimately made by the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.
Monte GT does not flash or rewrite ECU software. When removed, the vehicle gradually returns to factory behavior through normal ECU adaptation, and no record or permanent trace of the device remains in the ECU indicating it was ever installed.
Yes. Monte GT optimizes engine parameters and works independently of transmission type, including automatic, DSG, and CVT gearboxes.
Monte GT does not directly change throttle sensitivity. Instead, it improves torque delivery, which makes the vehicle feel more responsive during acceleration.
No. Monte GT is designed to work with the manufacturer-recommended fuel grade. Using higher-octane fuel may enhance performance on some engines, but it is not required.
Yes. Monte GT supports both gasoline and diesel vehicles, including turbo-diesel engines.
Yes. Monte GT supports many hybrid vehicles equipped with an OBD-II port. Compatibility depends on the vehicle and powertrain, so we recommend checking our database or contacting support to confirm fitment.
Each time you switch modes, the ECU begins a new adaptation cycle for the selected profile. For best results, allow up to 120 miles (200 km) of normal driving after each mode change.
Monte GT operates within factory ECU safety parameters. If a warning light appears, unplugging the device will allow the vehicle to return to normal operation.
No. Monte GT draws minimal power and automatically powers down when the vehicle is turned off. It will not drain your battery during normal use.
Monte GT works with most OBD-II-equipped vehicles. You can use our compatibility database to confirm fitment.
If your vehicle does not appear, contact our support team anyway — we may have newly released tuning profiles that haven’t been uploaded yet.
